“We believe the next generation of top leaders and problem-solvers in pro sports greatly benefit from the opportunity to refine and hone their leadership skills through the C-Suite Circle with Novus Global,” said Lauren Lopez, NWSL Chief People and Culture Officer and PRO Governing Board Member. “As a member of Cohort 1, I value how this leadership circle has allowed me to build high-trust relationships with leaders from various disciplines, structures and junctions in their careers. Which is one reason I wanted the NWSL to have a more significant role and lasting positive impact on the industry.”
The goal of the C-Suite Circle with Novus Global is to create a safe, collaborative think-space for rising executives to refine their leadership skills, build new connections and avenues of communication with industry contemporaries, and engage with renowned business leaders in an intimate, recurring forum that will stimulate authentic and impactful engagement.
“At Novus Global, we believe that every leader's two greatest leadership challenges are as follows: 1) They drastically underestimate what they are capable of, and 2) They drastically underestimate what their team is capable of. We are honored to walk alongside this cohort to explore where and how this might be true for these exceptional leaders,” said Kristin Frade, Associate Partner, Novus Global
Ultimately, the cohort will produce a “Business in Crisis Continuity Plan” and present it to key leaders, investors and stakeholders at the 2024 NWSL Championship weekend. The final deliverable will stand up a structure of a plan, so it is plug and play for any PRO league/team/union to access and reference and make their own.
