Pro Sports Assembly Launches Public Policy Poll with Navigate
First-of-its-Kind Public Policy Poll for the Professional Sports Industry Launched by Pro Sports Assembly in Partnership with Navigate
Owners, Investors and Full-Time Leaders at US-Based Professional Sports Teams, Leagues, and Unions are Being Polled on Public Policy Operations and Priorities
Austin, TX - June 17, 2025 – Pro Sports Assembly (“PRO”), the association for professional sports organizations and business leaders, has launched a nation-wide, US-based public policy poll designed to equip owners, equity holders, and senior leaders with a powerful new tool that provides valuable insights into how public policy, regulations, and operational shifts are shaping the future of the professional sports industry.
In partnership with Navigate—a data-driven consulting firm serving top brands and organizations across the sports and entertainment industries—the poll aims to:
-
Identify the key public policy and regulatory concerns of professional sports leaders
-
Inform team, league, and union leaders on where there is alignment, and where there is not
-
Track industry trends over time
-
Explore the development of an industry-wide advocacy framework to educate federal, state and municipal lawmakers and help mitigate risks for the professional sports ecosystem
The poll is structured in three segments - demographics, issues and practices - some sections will only be visible to Director+ level leaders, and participation is not exclusive to PRO members. Anyone who works full-time or has an equity position in a professional sports organization is invited to participate in the poll.
The results of the poll, to be released early fall, will provide leaders across the professional sports ecosystem with a clearer picture of how the industry, in aggregate, is managing and preparing to navigate federal, state and local public policy and regulatory matters. The poll does not ask for policy positions and will not report opinions.
“We expect this first-of-its-kind poll to provide the most savvy pro sports leaders with new tools and insights to coalesce around common opportunities and concerns. We do not anticipate the poll to reveal 100% alignment on priorities or issue areas such as ticket regulation, infrastructure appropriations or tax policy, but it will help industry leaders navigate those important conversations,” says Laura Dixon, Co-founder and CEO of Pro Sports Assembly. “Working with the Pro Sports Assembly Governing Board - the Advocacy & Policy Committee in particular (Crispus Gordon III, Allison Gordon and Inky Son) - to launch this Poll demonstrates the power and potential of a healthy industry association. And, by partnering with respected researchers at Navigate, the poll will provide team, league and union leaders with a reliable resource to drive value and mitigate risk during unpredictable economic and cultural shifts.”
